The letters and story aren’t over yet since the hit Netflix film franchise ‘To All The Boys’ will be having its spinoff.

In October 2021, ‘To All The Boys’ first revealed that the series would be having its spinoff titled XO Kitty. The story will revolve around Kitty, the main character, Lara Jean Song Covey’s younger sister. Canadian actress Anna Cathcart portrays Kitty.

According to Netflix, XO, Kitty will have ten episodes wherein the youngest Covey sister would travel across the world to reunite with her long-distance boyfriend only to realize that relationships are more complicated than she thought.

On Wednesday, April 6, the hit Netflix film series announced that XO, Kitty has started film production.

The film franchise also revealed the entire cast of the spin-off. Cathcart will be joined by Anthony Keyvan, Gia Kim, Choi Min-Yeong, and Sang Heon Lee. Further details about the cast are yet to be announced.

Netflix also revealed that the series author Jenny Han would serve as the co-showrunner alongside Sascha Rothchild. Han also served as the executive producer and writer in the ‘To All The Boys’ film franchise.

The release date for XO, Kitty is yet to be announced.

‘To All The Boys’ was based on Jenny Han’s best-selling novel trilogy. The story follows Lara Jean Song Covey, a girl who wrote letters to her five crushes in secret, having no intention to send them. However, it became chaotic when all of her letters were sent out.

The first film, ‘To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before,’ was released in 2018, followed by the second film, ‘To All The Boys: P.S I Still Love You,’ in 2020, and the third film, ‘To All The Boys: Always and Forever’ in 2021.
