GMA Network never ceases to deliver premium and world-class Filipino content on multiple platforms across the globe through its overseas arm GMA International and content distribution arm GMA Worldwide.

Through unwavering commitment and efforts in implementing various projects and initiatives, the Network continues to make a mark in the international scene with its strong presence in different countries around the world.

Groundbreaking partnerships

To make Global Pinoys feel at home wherever they are, GMA Network — thru GMA International — ventured into various collaborations with several content creators and media platforms this year.

In a historic collaboration with ABS-CBN International, GMA’s international channels GMA Pinoy TV, GMA Life TV, and GMA News TV, as well as certain GMA on-demand programs, became available on iWantTFC beginning in May this year. iWantTFC viewers in select countries and territories in Asia Pacific (APAC), Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and South Pacific/Caribbean Islands can now access GMA’s top-notch shows such as Maria Clara at Ibarra, Abot-Kamay na Pangarap, Apoy sa Langit, First Yaya, and The World Between Us, among others.

GMA International also teamed up with Jungo Pinoy, the fastest-growing entertainment mobile app specifically created and curated for Filipinos by Los Angeles-based media company Jungo TV.

Through this partnership, Jungo Pinoy users in Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Canada, and select countries in Europe now enjoy GMA Pinoy TV for streaming hit Kapuso shows like Voltes V:Legacy, Abot-Kamay Na Pangarap, Royal Blood, Maria Clara at Ibarra, and more; GMA Life TV for lifestyle, travel, and infotainment programs; and GMA News TV for the latest, most comprehensive, and most credible news from home—all with no TV, cable, or satellite required.

Moreover, GMA Pinoy TV – the Network’s flagship international channel – has been inducted by Digital Pilipinas, a private sector-led movement that promotes the digitalization of the Philippine economy, as their partner in promoting Financial Literacy through their digitalization campaign to the OFWs and Filipino Immigrants and their families and dependents. Digital Pilipinas invited GMA Pinoy TV to be the Media Champion for the Global Pinoys in recognition of its efforts at promoting the interests of overseas Filipinos and their families through GMA International’s GMA Pinoy TV, GMA Life TV, and GMA News TV.

Aside from that, GMA Pinoy TV also shares the stories of inspiring Filipinos who have ventured abroad and fearlessly established their own business. Their successful tales were showcased in the documentary series “EntrePinoy Abroad,” which won the Silver Telly in the Online – Series: Documentary category of the esteemed 44th Annual Telly Awards. By showcasing their triumphs and challenges, GMA Pinoy TV promotes the world-class talent of Pinoys abroad.

GMA International is also part of GMA Network’s Anti-Piracy Committee. Strengthening the Network’s anti-piracy capabilities and initiatives to protect its content, GMA partnered with the world’s largest and most effective anti-piracy coalition, Alliance for Creativity & Entertainment (ACE), earlier this year. In support of this, GMA Network has launched its anti-piracy advocacy campaign dubbed “Stream Responsibly. Fight Piracy.” aimed at encouraging people, especially the younger generation, to be aware of what is right and wrong and help raise awareness of the value of creative works.

These piracy efforts were quickly recognized at the Gawad Yamang Isip Awards and Fashion Nights by the Intellectual Property of the Philippines. GMA Network was given a special citation for its contribution to the successful implementation of various anti-piracy initiatives, such as symposiums and anti-piracy videos. This distinction reflects the Network’s commitment to upholding the intellectual property rights of content creators in the country to create a sustainable creative industry.

Going ‘Glocal’

GMA Network has also embraced a “glocal” outlook in producing content aimed at the local and global markets. While the shows are locally produced, all have global appeal.

Poised to cement GMA Network’s position as the primary source of Filipino content around the globe, GMA Worldwide continues to reach more and more viewers worldwide via program syndication. Currently, GMA produces around 26 dramas yearly that are being distributed to over 50 countries across five continents. GMA Worldwide has licensed over 100 titles around the globe to date.

The Network’s content distribution arm promises to deliver worldwide programs and drama series that are global, cutting-edge, and high-quality. It remains committed to providing premium Filipino content to international buyers with GMA programs dubbed into different languages and is well-loved by international viewers.

As an initiative to extend its global reach, GMA Network secured landmark deals to air 14 of its shows with 492 hours worth of content in 42 countries in Africa — becoming a major provider of top-notch Filipino content in the world’s second-largest continent.

GMA Worldwide has also sold 248 hours worth of content to a leading Russian broadcaster, which will telecast seven of the Network’s top-rating and highly-acclaimed TV series in Russia this year.

The Network’s most-watched program in 2022, ‘Lolong,’ was acquired by a broadcaster in Indonesia.

Furthermore, the broadcast giant has entered into a five-year partnership with Viu, a leading pan-regional OTT video streaming service that delivers content to Filipinos. The deal, which marks the first-ever collaboration between GMA and Viu, makes available to Viu Philippines new Kapuso titles starting with ‘The Write One’ and ‘Love Before Sunrise.’

After participating in MIPCOM Cannes, France last October, GMA Worldwide participated in the Asia TV Forum (ATF) 2022 in Singapore last December 2022. Showcased during the three-day event were “Maria Clara at Ibarra” and “Luv Is: Caught in His Arms.”

This year, GMA Worldwide attended HK FILMART, Asia’s leading content marketplace for films, television programs, and digital content, and the MIPTV in Cannes, France.

GMA Network is committed to enriching the lives of Filipinos with superior entertainment through various initiatives and collaborations. Coupled with this is GMA’s timely delivery of accurate news reports and information on various platforms around the world.
