Philippinesâ primetime âbidasâ Alden Richardsâ and Julia Montesâ highly-anticipated big screen event âFive Breakups and A Romanceâ is set to exceed estimates and continue to break the local movie industryâs slump when it opens in local cinemas nationwide on October 18.
âFive Breakups and A Romanceâ is directed by Irene Villamor (also known for her work in âMeet Me in St. Gallenâ that won the Best Film, Best Actor and Best Actress awards at FACINE, âSid and Ayaâ and âCamp Sawiâ). The very first collaboration between GMA Pictures, Cornerstone Studios, MYRIAD Corporation, Aldenâs multimedia company and distributed by Axinite Digicinema, the film also marks the first team up of Richards and Montes for the big screen.
An endearing romantic love story, âFive Breakups and A Romanceâ is a modern love story between Lance (Richards), a carefree fellow and Justine (Montes), career-centric woman, as they navigate to find the ideal midpoint between love and career. The film treads on the complexities of relationships in todayâs fast changing landscape, but when the unexpected comes, will Lance and Justine choose love over career? Will they choose the present over the future? How many times do they have to let go in order to find a way back into each otherâs lives? The unconventional pairing of the lead actors in the movie also pushes their talents tackling fresh characters and more mature roles as they deal with scenes (as teased on the trailer) theyâve never done on the big screen before.
It’s a date on October 18 only at the cinemas when âFive Breakups and A Romanceâ opens in cinemas nationwide.
